I'm having a difficult time trying to navigate the use of this members group...are there instructions anywhere?
It looks like there's only 3...or maybe 7 people in this group so I'm thinking others might also be having trouble.

I suspect your issue is less a difficulty with navigation than an abseance of content to navigate. Hopefully this will gradually be resolved by the posting of more information to the site by the board.
My initial suggestions would be to include board meeting minutes, summary of annual member meetings, calls for member input or assistance, etc.
This could be a very effective vehicle for people on the board, and other local and active members, to provide timely updates and reports on emerging issues to those of us who are more remote (but none-the-less interested in ensuring the preservation of our community's enjoyment of the mountains).
